Convincing your family members you want to work from home
| February 11, 2010 | 1:45 pm | Mortgages | No comments

It’s a difficult ride if you want to work from home and yet, the
most important people in your life are against the work at home
concept. It’s a dream to you but it can be a nightmare for
people who care for you. The whole idea of not having a stable
income makes them worry about you, so, don’t blame them. For all
you know, you’re terribly confident that your plan will work and
you know you can commit to your new work at home business…you
know that but THEY don’t.

The first step you will need to take to help your family members
accept your work at home decision is to understand how they
feel. I know, I know, this is a time when you want others to
understand you and accept your decision. You’re tired of working
for someone else and want to have the freedom of spending time
with your family and friends, instead of lounging around in the
office day in and day out. And here I am, telling you that you
should understand the very people who are opposing you?

This is not a secret but think of it like some kind of a
psychological plan. ever heard of the term ‘reverse psychology’?
Ok, you’re required to use this and let me tell you this…it
works like a charm! If you do this right, you will convince your
family members that working at home is the best option for you.

Say things like, ‘I know you care for me, love me and want what
is best for me….’, ‘I understand what you’re saying…’, or
‘You’re absolutely right in saying that, I can’t say you’re
wrong’. When you’re talking to them in a non-attack way, they
will back down and bring down their fences. This is an amazing
way to help your family members accept your work-at-home
decision. It’s true, my own family members were not to keen on
me wasting my law degree to start a work at home business either
- to them, I am wasting my degree, wasting my talents and
wasting my energy. And they don’t want to see me suffer, be
disappointed and face financial problems. Being parents, they
want what is best for me and in their eyes, working at home is
NOT the best moneymaking opportunity. Over the years, I have
finally opened my parents’ eyes to the working at home concept.
They finally accepted it that I communicate with clients from
all over the world and that I am being paid for the work that I
do and that my income is comfortable.

As for the spouse, this is a little bit trickier. You see, in
2-income families, if one person wants to start working from
home, the other spouse would have to be prepared to give up more
of his or her income to cover for the stuff that is supposed to
be covered by the now-working-at-home spouse. At least during
the first few months of the business, that is. I mean, for 3 to
6 months after working from home, you’ll have to expect to dig
into your savings or the spouse would have to cover for
expenses, so, naturally, he or she would be a little bit
disgruntled with the fact. They’re not being selfish – they’re
trying to deal with you breaking out of the comfort zone.
Everyone, including you, hates that. So, don’t expect your
spouse to welcome the idea of working from home with wide open
arms. There’s bound to be some skepticism.

And skepticism from your loved ones is good too because it will
keep you on your toes and you’re feet remains firmly planted on
the ground. So, the best thing to do with your spouse is to
discuss the idea with him or her, sit down and plan the
finances. For example, dig into your savings to cover for
contribution to expenses, working part-time, telecommuting, cut
down on expenses, selling the extra car, remortgaging, etc. Find
a way and a plan to ease the discomfort for your spouse. Make
sure he or she has nothing to complain about your working at
home decision. It’s incredibly difficult to accept, trust me, if
you’re not the one who wants to work from home. If you’re on the
other side of the fence, everything looks so bleak and
uncertain.

Break through their barrier not with force, but with gentle
compromising and understanding. Then, you’ll get their full
support for your work at home business.

Checking that you have adequate travel insurance before your trip is essential in order to ensure that you and your group are covered in the event of accidents and theft during your holiday.

Such deals can often work out cheaper than single-trip travel insurance and can help cover all members of your group during your holiday your family from a range of factors.

When searching for cover it is important to shop around, research different policies and the type of cover that they offer and, most importantly, to read the small print to check for any snags which could affect any claims.

Factors will depend on location and any planned activities during the holiday. Whilst activity holidays can be fun for all, but it is important to make sure you’re covered for sports such as jet-skiing and other activities that have an increased risk of injury.

It is also essential to ensure that your possessions are covered for the duration of your trip in order to protect against any financial loss as a result of theft, luggage and passport loss, travel delays and any other legal expenses.

| February 7, 2010 | 9:45 am | Mortgages | No comments

Divorce!!!– The most harsh act and not ever THOUGHT of. So, at the 11th hour there are many problems which make you feel lonely and helpless. If proper caution is taken it will become only a repairing and healing process which you are seeking from a long unbearable span. Understand few things to make it a wise decision.

First of all, it is the same situation of your partner too. So, sit and decide all the procedures, necessary documents, and decisions about important left behinds: e.g. heirs, common property, shared business, responsibilities etc. learn that everything will not go in your favor in this whole jigsaw puzzle.

Let’s discuss about essential documents in the process. The most important thing is to appoint an advocate to handle it legally. He knows the pros and cons of each important document. Papers related to family finances like belongings, valuations earnings, overdue amount prove beneficial in hearings. An organized record of these documents assists your attorney to tackle the partition.  More significantly, if mutual agreement is impossible, your documents may be entirely crucial to sustain your case at trial.

1. Your paycheck stubs from all sources of service over the last year. At a minimum, try to present pay stubs for the last three months.

2. If possible, your spouse’s paycheck stubs for the same period of time. Those check stubs will often show year top date earnings and deductions.

3. If either you or your spouse is freelancer, any and all dealing papers representing payments received or charges owed are necessary. This includes – (a) trade bids (b) invoices for labor performed (c) ledgers of payments received (d) Bank deposit slips (e) bank statements (f) self-governing supplier agreements (g) contracts agreements

4. If either you or your spouse is self-employed, documentation regarding industry operating cost is necessary. These may include check registers, disregarded checks, payment receipts, check carbons, computerized income or expense records, monetary statements, turnover and loss statements, general ledgers.

5. Copies of your combined or individual income tax returns, both state and central, for the past three years.

6. Copies of any business tax returns the company in which you or your spouse holds a concern for the past three years.

7. If either party works for cash, necessary documentation may include:

Check ledgers demonstrating expenses paid during marriage (a person working for cash will often have check registers that do not show payments for necessities of life such as groceries – the explanation for that omission is often cash payments),documents related to pension; retirement, profit sharing/401 K plan Mutual funds, IRAs etc.

8. A replica of any economic statements or statements of net worth prepared by you or your spouse for the purpose of securing bank loans or for any other purpose.

9. Any other information that will help you establish your net worth, your spouse’s net worth, your joint net worth, your income, and your spouse’s income.

10. Deeds, abstracts, and Torrens certificates showing the legal description of your homestead and any other real estate. Secure these from your mortgage company or lending institution if you do not have them.

11. Current mortgage statements on the first mortgage, second mortgage and/or home equity loans on the homestead and any other real estate.

12. All papers and documents covering the initial purchase of the homestead including the purchase agreement.

13. Any and all documents refinancing the loans on any parcel of real estate owned during the marriage (those refinancing documents are likely to include and appraisal of the property and a statement regarding income of the parties).

14. Tax assessor’s statements on the homestead and other real properties.

15. Any current life insurance policies on your life, your spouse’s life or on your children whether it is an individual policy or a policy through your employer. To be complete you should provide any and all statements you have regarding that life insurance policy including any documents indicating a cash balance or loans against them.

16. You must take care of your children in these days. First of all though you want to be separated, they need you both. As a responsible father/mother you must try to console them for this damage. Let them realize that they still posses your attention and affection. Related to the custody, children’s report cards, medical case history files, daycare records, homework approvals (signed by you) documents related to their schooling like Tuition; shipping;   other Activities; Lunch Money; coaching; Study material

17. You should provide your lawyer with a list of necessary monthly expenses. You should be prepared to support your list with documentation that the expenses listed are accurate. It can be devastating to your case financially, if you embellish your monthly expenses to the point that they are unbelievable and unsupportable.

18) Monthly expenses may include: house rent, second mortage, electricity, gas, sewer and water, telephone, water softener, etc.

19) Equipments like Services/Cleaning; Supplies; Furnishings/Equipment; Lawn Service;

Clothes /stuff Shoes Laundry/Dry Cleaning Upkeep.

Dear pals, already you are suffering a lot because of this harsh step. We know that some wounds never stop bleeding still we suggest to wait for time to nurture this affect. Be positive, perhaps something worth that this is designed in your destiny. So, live life king size.

Consolidate Debt Now For Your Family
| February 6, 2010 | 5:02 am | Loans | No comments

Managing credit card debt is a problem that many people face nowadays. Many people never really understood the best way to handle their credit cards and are now facing a mountain of debt. Some people think that credit cards are free money to be used and never think of the consequences of overspending. Now people around the country are faced with debt management to get out of debt and enjoy life again. Learn how to consolidate debit is important and learning how to stay out of debt is even more important.

To keep your debt from spiraling even more out of control then you should consider putting your credit cards away for a while. Try to use cash to make purchases and make sure to learn how to channel your spending habits. You’ll want to exercise restraint in spending and not buy everything you see. You should work on a monthly budget to help you control spending. Just because something is on sale now, doesn’t mean you need to buy it now. Don’t ever use more than 70% of your credit line at one time, that is a basic rule to be followed. Keep your spending under control until your income goes up or you get out of debt. You don’t want to make things worse and harder on you and your family by putting yourself into even more debt.

You may also want to consider learning how to consolidate debt. This means you move the balance of all of your credit cards onto one card. This card should have a zero interest APR as a starting benefit or have a lower interest rate than your other cards. Make sure you read all the fine print before you do anything, because you don’t want to miss an important fact and end up paying more money. You can also call your credit card company and try to negotiate with them and see if they can lower the APR on your current card.

Try to pay off as much of your debt as you can each month. This will help you save money by lowering the interest rates you are paying each month. You also may want to consider closing out some of your credit card accounts.

Make sure you aren’t applying for more credit cards just because you have no more credit available to you on your current card. You will find yourself in even more trouble if you do that. You should also be warned that you may not even get the credit card approved if you try to do this since you are wrecking your credit already. Try to stay away from any kind of loans at this time, until you are out of debt.

Remember that most things you want to buy can be bought later on and you don’t need them now. Having security and money in the bank will protect you and your family.
